Council-wide dog rules, beaches and named places

Rules added

No dogs on Roker beach and a stretch of Seaburn from 1 May to 30 September (Beaches layer).
No dogs in play areas, sports pitches and signed resort areas. Put your dog on a lead, or shorten it to heel, if an officer asks.
Carry bags and pick up. £100 fixed penalty.
