Council-wide dog rules, beaches and named places

Rules added

  • Southsea beach: no dogs on marked parts from 1 March to 30 September; a lead when an officer asks the rest of the year.
  • No dogs on the foreshore from the Royal Marines statue to Southsea Castle, or at the Hot Walls, from 30 April to 30 September.
  • Tangier Field: part is dog-free from October to March. West Battery: lead when the bandstand is in use. Bransbury Park: lead when the miniature railway runs.
  • Pick up and carry bags across the city, and put your dog on a lead when an officer asks.
