Council-wide dog rules, beaches and named places
Rules added
- One person can walk at most four dogs.
- Dogs on a lead in wildlife areas and cemeteries, and when an officer asks.
- No dogs in playgrounds, sports courts, games areas, marked pitches in play, and dog-free areas in parks.
Order from 2023, renewal consulted on in 2026.
Assistance dogs: most council dog orders and beach bans exempt assistance dogs, such as guide and hearing dogs. Check the source if you are unsure.
