London Borough of Barking and Dagenham: dog rules

Council-wide dog rules, beaches and named places

We've only partly added this council's dog rules. Check the source for the full order.

Partly added

In Barking Park, Mayesbrook Park and some green spaces near schools, dog owners need to register their dog's DNA (£30 swab) so mess can be traced.
Pick up everywhere. We found no district-wide lead or dog-ban order. Follow signs in parks, play areas and cemeteries.

From a Barking and Dagenham Post report.

Assistance dogs: most council dog orders and beach bans exempt assistance dogs, such as guide and hearing dogs. Check the source if you are unsure.
