Derbyshire Dales District Council: dog rules
Council-wide dog rules, beaches and named places
Rules added
- Pick up on any land open to the public, and carry a bag.
- Leads in some areas (some only at set hours), leads when asked, and no dogs in children's play areas and other listed sites. Check signs.
- Much of the Dales is in the Peak District: see the Countryside layer.
Assistance dogs: most council dog orders and beach bans exempt assistance dogs, such as guide and hearing dogs. Check the source if you are unsure.
