Getting onto the beach

A ramp onto the beach from the lower promenade on East Parade, south of Spanish City; soft sand at the bottom, and winter storms can wash sand away from the ramp.
Free beach wheelchairs from Beach Access North East: join free, then book on 0300 999 4444 at least 24 hours ahead. The container is beside the ramp.
Links Road car park has 8 disabled bays, free for Blue Badge holders. Disabled toilet at Watts Slope; Changing Places at Whitley Park and Waves Leisure Centre.
