Getting onto the beach

  • Beach wheelchairs (four adult, one child): book ahead by email (info@westwitteringbeach.co.uk) or 01243 514143; £20 cash deposit, refunded on return. No hoist, so bring your own sling.
  • The only built access point is a steep concrete ramp near the windsurf club; shifting sand and pebbles make other spots hard going.
  • Disabled parking at the car park entrance and opposite the Beach Café. Accessible toilets (RADAR key, lent by the estate) at the entrance, Beach Café and near East Head.

Access source: West Wittering Estate, checked October 2026.

Assistance dogs: most council dog orders and beach bans exempt assistance dogs, such as guide and hearing dogs. Check the source if you are unsure.
